Week 6 Year 2
We can't believe we've made it to the last week before Half Term!
Well done for all your energy and enthusiasm. You have all been doing so well! Let's see if we can keep it up for one more week and then we can all have a well-deserved rest.
It's been lovely to see many of you on Teams and we really enjoy our little chats and seeing what you have been doing.
It has been nice to hear how sending and receiving some of your letters and postcards has brought a little bit of happiness to each other. It would be nice to keep this up during lockdown.
Thank you for all your hard work and support,
Have a lovely, safe and restful Half Term Holiday,
Mrs Jones and Mrs Griffiths
In Year 2 this week we will complete our unit on Letter Writing and look at different types of sentences.

This week's sounds are split digraphs:
o-e and u-e
and revising all consonant blends.
For Reading, it would be great to see some more videos of you reading a page or two of your reading books. If you are running out of reading material, Oak Academy have just opened a whole library of online books that you can access.
Also we have just signed up to GetEpic. Details for class log-ins are on Class Dojo.
There is also a Reading comprehension on our Topic plan this week
At the bottom, there is a Handwriting pack, if you feel your child needs extra practise with this.

We were hoping to start using PE Passport in school this half term. They have some home learning resources that we can introduce you to and share in school too. These include different challenges and video clips. You can have a look here...
Of course PE with Joe is back and live from January 11th every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am for 20 mins. We will be getting involved at school too.
We also hope to put up some videos from the East Shropshire Sport's Partnership. Look out on ClassDojo for the links for these.
